Our author Jonathan was delighted to attend the sell-out Blitz club exhibition and film showing last week.

The event was held at the design museum in Kensington, London.

The Blitz club opened in the 1980s in Covent Garden, It was set up by Rusty Egan and Steve Strange, who both went on to have a top 10 hit, 'Fade to Grey' with Visage.

The club famously launched the careers of pop stars including Spandau Ballet, Sade, Visage and Boy George. It cemented itself as a hub for fashionistas and alternative music lovers. It was home to visitors including David Bowie and Midge Ure.

Jonathan mentioned that it was a pleasure to immerse himself in so much nostalgia and enjoyed meeting members of Spandau Ballet along with music pioneer Rusty Egan. He was grateful to have a poster signed by them all which now takes pride of place at Fortune and Fame HQ!
